Lean - The Lean process looks at attaining a smooth flow in transactional and manufacturing lines by enhancing human effort, reducing waste, and enhancing the design of physical steps and patterns.
Six Sigma - A quality improvement movement made popular by Motorola that combines the best of standard quality improvement methods. It asserts that business and manufacturing processes can be measured, analyzed, improved and controlled by reducing defects or unwanted events. People can become trained and certified in Yellow, Green, Black and Master Black Belt levels of proficiency.
